I used to volunteer as a production assistant for a live comedy radio show on WAYO 104.3 FM in Rochester, NY. The show had live, in-studio music, guest interviews, written comedy sketches, grab-bag improv segments, and call-ins from listeners. I joined the production team in November 2018, and stayed with the show until it ended in December 2019.
As a production assistant, my duties have included briefing guests, helping to create the schedule for the show, running the social media accounts, conducting on-the-fly research during on-air discussions, and taking notes.
